David Iona, Biography:

1935

Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, England.

Iona has been practising sculpture for over forty years, prior to which he served in the R.A.F. as a medic.After three years, he left to join the Merchant Marine in order to see much more of the world. In 1999 he travelled to California to meet his Zen teacher and thence to the Hsu Yun Temple in Hawaii to be ordained as a Zen Sensei by Chinese Zen Master Ji Din (deceased).

Iona has works with many institutions and private collections.

He is self taught as a sculptor.
